Beautiful and clean

Very nice cabin and yard. Great access to the reservoir. No air conditioning...works fine, just may want to open the windows in the evening and early morning. So glad we stayed there! Thank you!!!

Great place to stay!

This was our second stay at South Shores Lake House. The home is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Beautiful master bedrooms. The loft is big enough for several to sleep in if needed. We don't use the loft but it is very nice. I little warm in August but there is an AC unit that you can start up. The kitchen is nice and roomy. Well stocked. You might need to bring another big pan/pot if you're planning on a lot of cooking. We needed another large pan for corn on the cob as we were already using the one provided for something else. The beach area is great for kids. We love having our boats right there and not having to pull them out every night. The hot tub is great for after skiing. I keep a rubber maid tote full of water next to the hot tub and make the kids fully rinse off before using the hot tub. Otherwise you'll track sand and grass into the hot tub. There's plenty of towels for bathing. Nice washer/dryer if needed. We had a couple of hiccups. Upon arrival we found that the house had not been cleaned from the previous guests. One phone call and four ladies showed up within 15 minutes. However, We ended up sitting on the porch until 6:30pm. They did give us a late checkout for our trouble. Also, the hot water was gone after just one or two of us had showered.

Perfect Spot!

Our family spent a long weekend at the South Shore house and had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful; when you walk in, the view of the lake takes your breath away! The home is roomy and has a great layout for lots of people to spread out. The deck, gas fire pit, and hot tub topped off the home. Being on the water and having a large dock and beach area for the kids to play on made it perfect for us. There is no AC, but there were plenty of fans, so it never seemed to get too hot. My only suggestion would be for the outside of the house. The yard looks to be neglected some. There were a lot of prickly weeds in the grass, so the little kids always had to have shoes on. The landscaping could use some care. Other than that, it was a perfect spot for our family. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect Spot for Us!

Our family spent a long weekend at the South Shores Lake House. The house is beautiful, and the view of the lake will take your breath away. The home was well cared for on the inside and very clean. It was roomy and well laid out with plenty of space for our large family. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and large deck. Our grandkids loved playing on the "beach", and having a boat dock right out your backyard was awesome! Our only suggestion to the owners would be on the outside of the home. There were a lot of prickly weeds in the yard, so the kids always had to have shoes on. The lawn needed mowed and weeded. Other than that, we had a perfect stay!

We had a fabulous stay. Location and cabin were perfect for our needs. We are a boating family and this was perfect for that! Wish there were the same weeks available again for next year. The only complaint we had was that the propane was empty when we got there but other than that everything was exceptional. Thanks for providing such a beautiful vacation home.
