It’s a honey of a Retreat

Everything that’s promised is provided…right down to the little emergency sewing kit and some family games to enjoy. The cabin is handsomely decorated, beds are comfortable and our Corgi pups loved sniffing around the perimeter of the property. I especially loved cooking over a campfire out behind the cabin and the cozy chair by the wagon wheel turntable. I read the guest book and see everyone loved the place as much as I did. We walked the long straight road (old railroad tracks) both ways and enjoyed the scenery. Only thing I didn’t love was the amount of 4 wheel utility vehicles overtaking the trails and scaring off the moose before we could make the walk…even at barely daylight. Got to hear the cranes talking on a soft rainy morning and hear the cattle lowing, even heard the coyotes one evening. Thanks for a lovely 4 days of bliss…

Ideal Vacation House for the Yellowstone Explorers

Amazing accommodation if you plan to explore Yellowstone West side. We're very impressed with the kitchen supplies - from Amazon stove to frying pans, and even a slow cooker! Dishes represent the area - forks, spoons and plates are decorated with moose pictures. One night there was a moose close to our cabin, just slowly passing by. Cabin is very well decorated - former wheel coffee table is very impressive!n Also cabin is equipped with ceiling and small fans, but even in a hot days it maintained cool temperature during a day. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Awesome stay

Wonderful cabin just outside west Yellowstone. Great location in the woods and super quiet. We even had a moose visit us during our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again with if we are in the area.

Very nice cabin in the woods

Three of us used this cabin for sleeping and breakfast while we spent most of our daylight hours visiting Yellowstone Park. It is very comfortable and fully outfitted with cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc., very clean with nice woodsy interior decoration. Although it is about a 30 minute drive to the Yellowstone west entrance the cabin worked well for us. Construction sounds from a project on the adjacent lot were only a minor annoyance.

The place was cozy and Clean. Not sure about all of those small heaters & the TV would only work with DVD. Needs to be Upgraded to work with the Internet. The shower hot water mixer was not Normal. I really Like the Location with the exception of the ATV Trail next to the Place.

R&R at the River Retreat!

I always hold my breath when entering a rental wondering if the pictures were taken recently (or 10 years ago!), if the location is really as peaceful as the listing mentions, if the full kitchen really means a decent set of pots and pans and other kitchen essentials, etc... The Buffalo River Retreat came through in all areas, and more!! The location was absolutely perfect. IT was nice to have such a beautiful area all to ourselves. The cabin itself quickly became a comfortable home away from home. The space was very functional and was quaintly decorated. The kitchen had every pot, pan, tool and accessory we had hoped for. And the two porches were both perfect places to relax on. Everything was as we had hoped it would be. and more!
